I know how frustrating this is but from working in a high volume office in direct patient care, sadly 95% of the time running late is because of other patients. I've seen some patients blatantly go around rules- such as scheduling visits for each individual child; they will bring their other kids to the visit just for a quick question or something to be looked at during a siblings visit. Some patients know about our 15 min late policy so they show up 13-14 mins late and can still be seen- this throws off the whole entire day. patients who call in and demand to speak with the doctor or nurse right now. patients who answer a yes/no question in the room with a 3 page essay answer. not saying these things are right and I still 100% get frustrated when I go to visits and am waiting forever, just wanted to share some of the back office view.

If they are running behind then I let my kids have at it all over because if you expect me to be punctual with kids and then aren’t punctual yourself then it’s not a me problem.

Don’t forget that after working up a sweat holding your babies you get to sit in an 800 degree room waiting for ages for everything including the doctor, the nurse with the shots, the MA, and get to fill out paperwork on a tablet that ur kids keep touching a messing up as u go

We play I-Spy in the doctors waiting room (kids are 7,5&2. All boys). They spend so much time looking around they forget to wiggle 😂

the struggle is real. I'm mom of 4 boys and this is not talked about enough to show how mom's are expected to keep all calm when they just kids being kids. Then having to wait extra to be called ❤️😂

Idk why but this always gives me anxiety 😭 like I’d rather be home than sitting at Dr offices. Once they don’t wanna sit and wanna run ect I just get the anxiety

I would get so frustrated until I was in the room with my sons pediatrician asking lots of questions. she spent probably an extra 30 minutes with us.
