I don’t see how this is the same. “Gay” obviously doesn’t mean “stupid”. An adult acting “childish” isn’t a replacement for “stupid”; it describes their underdeveloped behavior accurately. Genuinely, what language are we supposed to use when our couples therapist is constantly telling us how he has put himself in an infantilized position because he refuses to be a responsible adult, and does the same behaviors of a child that still needs to be managed/taught?

it used to mean happy, then homo, then yucky, words change... it'll move on, like all speech. GAY to mean homo was also made up. 🙈

I was thinking about your video about acting like a child as an insult, when I saw this court case going on in MS, where I’m from. A 14 year old girl is on trial for schmurder of her mom. All of the comments are just horrible about how she should be locked up forever and she’s up for life. I don’t know exactly how it’s connected and I haven’t had time to sit on it but that just has me so sad over how we treat kids and where are any base standards for her parents? They just automatically have sympathy. I’m sure if you changed the race or gender of the child then it would change perspective. I know how they treat kids in MS. It just felt off to me.
