@sustainablefashionfriend: Evaluating Rangel’s sustainability claims and there appears to be limited to no receipts, proof, timelines, and most of the time, no material content listed 🤔🔍 A follower DM’d me to check out Rangel. Apparently the founder, Isabela Grutman, is on a reality show called The CEO Club, where she introduced her brand as a sustainable one….😅 Rangel could be doing amazing things but these claims absolutely need to be backed up with evidence and specifics. Also, let’s remember that the VAST MAJORITY OF GARMENT WORKERS ARE WOMEN before we say anything about taking down a woman’s brand (it’s constructive criticism and the same thoughts I give my clients) Disclaimer: this is all my opinion and based on my experience as a fashion supply chain researcher & consultant #sustainablefashion #fashiontok #realitytv #deepdive #brandreview

Thanks to you I have learnt that when a brand is fair trade or sustainable-ish, they LOVE to tell consumers exactly how, where, and why. It’s when they aren’t, when they love to use technicalities

I refuse to buy from websites that don’t list materials. I am getting good at spotting the fake sustainability companies.

Thank you so much for these. As the owner of an actual sustainable clothing company, these claims infuriate me. And the brands always have so much exposure, and it’s really demoralizing for other independent designers trying to do the work. Appreciate you!!

Not posting the materials on the website is really insane. I can’t even think of a clothing site that doesn’t have the material breakdown and sizing
