Police say Christian, Pierre, and Azane Baseme tied their 18-year-old brother, Ezekiel, to a mattress while he was having a schizophrenic episode in November of 2024. The brothers say Ezekiel had stopped eating and sleeping in the two weeks leading up to his death. Once he became violent, the brothers tied him down for four days until they realized he no longer had a pulse. Elder brother, Christian, demonstrated to an officer during interrogation how he and his brothers tied him down. The medical examiner found that Ezekiel's cause of death was starvation and dehydration due to being restrained, which ultimately caused his death to be ruled a homicide. All three brothers are facing involuntary manslaughter, assault causing bodily injury, and false imprisonment charges. #truecrime
