@genevievejpn: The Legend of the Nine-Tailed Fox by Katrina Kwan was a fun read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Solid 3.5 stars. I’ve always been intrigued by the nine-tailed fox and this book was an excellent story centered around that mythological creature. The story overall is very adventurous as the FMC is a nine-tailed fox demon who travels through hell to find an escape with the MMC who is a demon hunter human. The first third of the book did feel a bit slow to me, but it really started to feel more engrossed into the story past the midpoint. It could be classified as an enemies to lovers but the romance is the subplot. The romance picks up more in the second half of the book. I love all the little parallels we got between the FMC and MMC towards the end. I wish we got more of their relationship! The backstory/flashback chapters were good additions to the story as it told more about how our FMC ended up where she did and we learn more about her connections to other characters.
