The “leafs let Mitch walk” narrative needs to die. Do some basic research. The leafs offered Marner the biggest contract in team history before the 24-25 season. He turned it down. He knew before last season even started that he was leaving, and then at the deadline when the leafs could’ve moved him for Mikko Rantanen, he said no. Mitch knew what he was doing. He left on his own accord and had no plans on staying and wasn’t willing to leave for half a season to go to a playoff team in order to help his former team improve in his absence. Leaf fans have every right to not like him. He screwed us.

This team is a disaster, ive been a Leafs fan for many years, I’ve never felt disconnected to this team until this season, major changes throughout the team including upper management need to be done!

is this surprising? I have been a Leaf fan since the 80's. Except for the 90's and early 2000's when they could use their money to buy themselves out of issues they have just worried about filling their bank accounts instead of winning.
