Japan is has never been a cheap country to visit compared to the rest of Asia. it is probably the most expensive country. but the appeal is their culture so tourists are still willing to pay the price. and now they are destroying this on their own. self sabotage

As a citizen from a developing country, a non native english speaker from asia, I think they are highly exaggerating english. Don’t they study english at schools just like we did in our schools? But if a foreigner goes to any shop/ restaurant in my country, they will find people who can help them in english, without the extra charge. I don’t know why they are making a huge deal about it
