The thing is… even if he really said neighbors in the recording they chose for the song… 1. as soon as they heard how it sounded in the song they should have either re-recorded it or have chosen a different word at that point.. and 2. neighbors regardless of anything is an extremely weird word choice in any case

But tbf the rapper is right with the cadence he was using neighbours was prob best as he can use an emphasis on the b, and when it’s slowed down it sounds like neighbours aswell, and in korea there are many sayings with neighborhood (동네), it’s just the English translation isn’t used the same
