the reason why the sun surface heat reaches. us . while the heat from the corona doesn't reach us is because... the sun surface thick compared to the thin layer of the corona... so when both release the heat energy inform of infrared in light photons.. the photons from the sun surface which is thick make it to the earth and release heat in terms of infrared though some are scattered in space.. while light photons from the corona barely rich earth because of its thin layered..nature meaning it doesn't release much photons... so the minimal photons released from the corona are scattered into the space hence the reason we are not affected by the extreme temperatures of the corona

I don't think we really know much about the Universe. Obviously know almost nothing about the Sun but "scientists " make all these claims about other stars that we can't even resolve their disc image in largest telescopes
