Before I touch a dollar for anything else, I invest. Straight away. Automatic. No emotions. No “I’ll do it later.” Because if you invest what’s left over, there’s never anything left over. After investing, I move money into savings. That’s my buffer. My opportunity fund. My freedom fund. Emergencies, travel, future business ideas, covered. Then come essentials. Rent, groceries, fuel, bills. The boring stuff that keeps life moving. And whatever is left? That’s my spending. Guilt-free. Because I know the important things are already handled. Most people spend > save what’s left > maybe invest. I invest > save >cover essentials > then spend. Same income. Different order. Completely different long-term outcome. It’s not about earning more (although that helps). It’s about controlling the order your money flows. Discipline > income.
