@rewirewithmilli: what started as simple nerves in front of the charts slowly turned into constant anxiety. My mind wouldn’t stop replaying losses. My chest felt tight, my body was drained, I couldn’t sleep, lost my appetite, had weekly migraines and then stopped enjoying life in general. I ignored these signs of anxiety way too long. eventually I hit a breaking point. I knew if I didn’t stop, trading would seriously damage my health and my life. don't do what i did. here's how I reinvented myself as a trader (it might help you too): - i cut my chart time from 10 hours a day to 2 - i don't trade more than that. - i capped myself at 3 trades maximum - anything beyond that and my anxiety skyrockets. - i stick to one timeframe and stopped switching - jumping between timeframes was creating so much unnecessary pressure. - i sit further away from the charts - the distance stops me from constantly clicking, moving stops, or switching between products. - i stopped multitasking while trading - it only created more anxiety and chaos. - i put my noise cancelling headphones on every session - no distractions. - i do 20 minutes of silence after the market closes - just lying or sitting quietly. this is gold for releasing the stress that built up during the session. - i do slow mornings - rushing first thing makes everything worse. - i start my mornings without my phone - it reduces anxiety and stops my dopamine from crashing before the day even starts. - i read 20 pages a day - trading is all screens, so taking your eyes off of them and onto something real feels genuinely soothing. - i make time for myself and do something nice - a treat, a massage, skincare, a spa day. anything that brings me back to myself. - i brain dump everything i'm anxious about into my journal - writing it down is like releasing it from your system. - i socialise more, even when i don't feel like it. - i reduced my phone screen time to 2 hours maximum - screen time feeds anxiety. - i started working out again - exercise genuinely helps release anxiety from the body. - i started taking supplements to support my nervous system and calm my anxiety (comment if you want to know which ones). - i light a candle when it gets dark - it takes the edge off the day. - i fixed my sleep cycle - going to bed at random times or late always made me wake up anxious. slowing down is what finally made me a calmer trader. only when i changed how i lived outside the charts did my behavior inside the charts begin to change too. if you’re constantly anxious, forcing discipline won’t fix it. slow down first. let me know in the comments if those feelings of anxiety sounds familiar. #tradingjourney #tradingforbeginners #MentalHealth #trading #tradingmindset
