@bespokecareers: Studying architecture makes you extremely employable. Even if you don’t go on to become an architect. The skills, work-ethic, critical thinking, and new way of seeing the world that you pick up during your degree - you’ll carry those with you for the rest of your life. We’ve seen this to be true time and time again. Despite the ‘linear path’ you’re always hearing about. Our CEO & Founder Lindsay Urquhart studied architecture before she started Bespoke Careers - and so did the majority of our team.
True I studied architecture and I’ve gone on to be a bartender

strongly disagree, 5 years of one of the most time consuming degrees. you should only do it if you are certain you want to be an architect

I studied architecture. Ended up as a bakery owner, wedding planner, officiant and photographer… I guess these trace back to the public presentations, project management, model making and rendering.

The guy is 100% correct. The best thing about the career in architecture is the years at university, being an architecture student. The rest of the career will be dud, a life of borderline poverty and door schedules.

So max trauma for being a bit useful, but then having to compete for design associated jobs with people who specifically studied for those roles…

My advice… studying architecture is a test of endurance… passion takes you to the end of it, if you have no passion for architecture you will not endure it. Sincerely; a last year architect student that has gone insane

If you are not interested in building something, design is a better option. Im a designer, but i work as a director/filmmaker and 2d animator.
