@kah.fitness: CHEAPEST protein at Fairprice?? NOT the viral Meiji milk 🥀 and honestly didnt expect Tau Kwa lol but you learn something new everyday!! I went around NTUC to find the cheapest protein per dollar for everyday foods, and ranked them from highest to lowest. 🥇 1) Tau Kwa (firm tofu) 44g of protein per dollar. About 60g of protein for $1.35. For my vegan friends, this is very good news. It’s filling, high volume, and extremely cost-efficient. 🥈 2) Bread Around 25g protein per dollar. Sounds good on paper, but it’s lower quality protein and comes with higher calories. Cheap, yes. Ideal main protein source? Not really. 🥉 3) NTUC roasted chicken 23g protein per dollar. Convenient and ready to eat. But it’s quite oily, so calories can add up. Runner Ups: 4) Soya bean milk 19g protein per dollar. Very filling. Good option for cutting. 5) SILKEN tofu ~17g protein per dollar. Still good, but tau gua clearly wins. 6🥀7) Eggs & chicken breast 15–17g protein per dollar. High-quality protein. Reliable and practical. 8) Tuna flakes in water ~10g protein per dollar. Better value than milk if you’re on a budget. 9) Meiji milk ~8g protein per dollar. Viral but actually not that good la tbh LOL 10,11,12) Last places dairy yogurts & cottage cheese 3–7g protein per dollar. Dairy is generally much more expensive per gram of protein. The pattern is quite clear: Soy, tofu, eggs, and chicken give you the most value. Dairy is convenient, but you’re paying more for the same protein. If you’re trying to hit your protein target without spending too much, this makes a big difference over time. SAVE YOUR CALORIES AND SAVE YOUR WALLETS!!!
