i see yall didnt read the manga. she didnt abandon her. Hachi n Nana still kept their relationship even after Hachi chose Takumi. that wasnt the problem. the problem was that Nana wanted everyone around her to stay single and be her pets for the rest of eternity. she wanted ownership over everyone she loved so she preferred Hachi being w Nobu bc she could then keep both of them at arms length. she wanted Yasu to stay single and Ren to leave Trapnest so that they could constantly be there for her. she battled w those thoughts bc she knew they were selfish, which is why she didnt communicate and simply distanced herself from everyone. Hachi constantly tried to be a part of Nanas life and she kept distancing herself. even tho Hachi was going through the most traumatic period of her life Nana never bothered to ask her how she was doing, she abandoned her completely—she said that herself multiple times in the manga. Hachi literally said the only reason she chose Takumi was bc she felt abandoned by Nana and questioned by Nobu, Takumi was the only person that was there for her in that moment.

can we stop saying this bs about hachi leaving nana "for a man" when she clearly was forced into this because even tho takumi was ahh he was more financially stable then nana was and she chose to keep the baby so the only one that will be able to provide for them and take good care of them is takumi+ nana wasn't any better she just started dropping conclusions without having a decent conversation with hachi to understand and I think if she was really her best friend she should be there to support her and understand where hachi is coming from. so yes nana was controlling and possessive as takumi infact I think they're a bit similar and honestly Junko was the better Friend here for hachi in this situation
