In my 20s I had 12+ huge fibroids removed, and at 35 I had another 30+ removed. My only option to preserve fertility were these extensive surgeries. I am lucky and grateful to have a beautiful IVF baby, but I had placenta previa and massive pp hemorrhage and woke up intubated in the ICU. Because of fibroids. And that's on top of the constant pain and mobility issues I had for all of my 20s/30s. Because of fibroids. We need more interest, research and funding!!
