These issues mostly happen when the glass is replaced by an unexperienced technician, especially those that use the glass breaking pen on parts other than the camera plateau. I’ve rarely seen phones with original broken glass backs have issues with cellular or glass shards

The back glass breaking doesn’t do much, it’s when people get the laser back glass fix, That’s when tiny peices of glass pokes through and hits the battery and causes issues
