Anyone else grow up with immigrant parents holding onto every receipt, clothing tag, paper coaster, and travel ticket? Yup… same here. I know they probably kept these things partly for financial reasons, but it definitely sparked my own love of holding onto all the little things too — from shoeboxes to paper bags stuffed full of memories. Some I had to let go of, others I lost between moves. About three years ago, I started journaling. At first, I wasn’t consistent, but when I added photos, acrylic markers, and started using the stickers and papers I’d been saving, something clicked — I discovered junk journaling, and I fell in love. It’s a way to create freely, without comparison or pressure for a “perfect” outcome. That and printing out photos is my favorite part about it. Have you tried it before?
