This is a horrible idea and has the 99% of people upset since on most platforms where this would make a difference the elevators to the platform are on the opposite side of the platform where the train actually stops as well as the warming rooms, and coverage from rain sun and snow is also on the opposite side of the platform. to make consistent stopping locations Metro north should do the same thing as the subways with signs with a number of cars so the trains with that number of cars stop at that location in the middle of the longer platforms, not all the way in the front away from everything

😳you guys are right about, waiting for your train shouldn't be a guessing game. I love you guys but please, D train arrivals sucks so much. 15, 26, 46. Guys thats crazy. Please do something 🙏. I understand that you may run train and congestion will cause a stop but please 🙏.

in the UK, Car stops are used to guide trains where to stop. For example, a 5 car stop being placed so the rear of the train is just by the bridge.

The doors on the LIRR lines up with “Watch The Gap” signs. That’s how I can tell where the doors gonna be.
