There’s risk with every pregnancy regardless of how the are conceived. This shouldn’t be different with IVF babies.

My beautiful mosaic embryo just turned 1 and she is alive because you shared your story. Your video gave me the push I needed to schedule a genetic counseling appointment with our fertility clinic. She, like Pax, was a high level mosaic embryo and is perfectly healthy, no mosaicisim present.

The question and judgment of being selfish infuriates me. Genetic testing is forced on the infertility community in order to proceed with next steps. Whether we choose to proceed is then our choice. That doesn’t make us selfish, if anything we are given an abundance of information which complicates our decisions to grow our family. Knowledge isn’t always power! The people who are lucky enough to not need assistance, not forced to genetic test, who get to just “baby dance” and get pregnant, despite the outcome - does that make them selfish too? They don’t know their odds, nobody does!

What’s the difference for women who get pregnant naturally? There are lots of risks to have an unhealthy bay but yet we still have pregnancies regardless of the risk. My daughter was given less than 1% chance of survival…we just celebrated her 11th bday.

you radiate kindness, thank you for sharing. I also transferred a mosaic embryo. she was only transferable because of a research study. she is healthy and happy. I'm so thankful that I was able to take that risk too.

I feel like this should fall under pro-choice. Pro-let the mom choose what is best for her and her family. Whether that is termination, transferring mosaic embryos, keeping a high risk pregnancy, adopting, surrogacy, etc.

Every pregnancy regardless of IVF or naturally conceived has risks. There are so many what ifs with every single pregnancy. I cannot believe the audacity of people to throw judgement about such a sensitive topic. You handle this all with such grace 🫶🏻

To this lady, i found Out i had the same gene as the creator she is referring to after I had 2 kids already but i still want another. With the screening thats out now for this mutation the chances of cancer or avoiding are much better than they used to be and will be even better when my kids are older and they will know to be tested for it far earlier than I ever was. at 28 with this gene the way it has affected me so far is mris once a year and mamograms every 6 months and colonoscopy starting at 32. My quality of life is perfectly fine.
