@madscientistofmuscle: Resistance cardio is awesome... let me just say that right up front. And loaded stepping is one of my favorite ways to do it indoors (I love doing long distance loaded carries when the weather is decent). These are trap bar "farmers carry" stepping intervals for cardio/conditioning training. I've showed this method with dumbbells before...a trap bar allows you to load it even heavier (I've got 315 lbs on the bar here). It's very simple... do low stepping for 30 seconds, leading with your left leg, rest 30 seconds, then step for 30 seconds leading with your right leg. And repeat for however many intervals you're doing - I did 12 intervals of this to keep it even. I've got a normal Step riser with a 45 lb bumper plate underneath it to brace it so that I don't break it. I definitely recommend grip assistance for this, otherwise your grip strength will definitely limit how much weight you can use. I'm using lifting hooks instead of straps because they're much faster to work with than straps. The exact ones I use are out of stock but @harbingerfitness has a nice pair. I have an open trap bar with the open side to the front for these. If you don't have an open one, you may find the bar contacts your legs a bit - it's not the end of the world. Overall, this is phenomenal conditioning/cardio training. Doing 12 minutes of this was absolutely brutal. If you're not a fan of normal cardio and/or have limited space or equipment to work with, this is one you'll want to try. I swear my heartrate was 200+ by the last interval. #metabolicconditioning #metcon #resistancecardio #conditioning #trapbar

Say less, lift heavy. :
Your training legs, but putting enormous stress on your arms unnecessarily. Don’t you need your arms for all day which is going to be tomorrow ? I put all your scribers in your biceps for today and then do it again tomorrow. On deadlifts and pull downs??
