Ignore the part that tells you how much you are spending; that's money you will pay no matter what. These types of products are good for saving you money on service fees from electricians and plumbers, and for being able to turn off appliances if you are away from home and can't remember if you left the hair curling iron or the stove on—things that can damage your house.

So first you said it monitors the lighting power usage…which is nearly nothing with LEDs and then you said it monitors your car charger. It looks like it’s a breaker in a panel so that means it monitors an entire circuit. That’s fine for appliances that use an entire circuit but how about the hairdryer that plugs into the wall which is a shared circuit?
