I'm a single parent and making it on one income. I promise you can do it, you just have to really prioritize and lock in and have conversations like is grad school really necessary? If it is, can it be put off a semester or 2 so that you can save for essentials like car repair? Look at your spending really well because there are things you can cut back, it's not always fun to do so, but its short term until things change.
