I really don't understand why people are hating on the Laufey influence. There's only one Laufey and there's only one Lauren Rose. I know Lauren personally and know that she wouldn't continue a project like this if she really thought she was mimicing Laufey. Mimicry is a problem, but influence is not. These songs are all original work. The syncopation that she's using on these songs and all their melodies and lyrics, while they may REMIND you of Laufey, they aren't copying her. They're standing alone.

I don’t understand why some people are hating. Just because one person did it first doesn’t mean someone else is copying. In music, it’s natural for things to sound somewhat similar. Focus on the story in their lyrics, because that’s their own story being told in the style they choose. It’s their own art. Let’s say she has a similar style to other artists. So what? Be grateful. There aren’t many people like her who make these kinds of songs. Also, please don’t forget that songs have genres. Everything is inspired by something. If she had made it earlier than Laufey, would you still hate on her? Stop being so mean.
