@andriana_marine: A moment captured by eringggabrielle of where where touch isn’t necessary, but my hand is still ready in case the shark’s behavior changes. Working with sharks is a balance of only using touch when necessary for safety, and being more passive, while anticipating that moment you may have to use it. This was shot right after I redirected this tiger shark approaching me head on, and after I am done deterring her I just keep my hand out near her acting as a follow through. There are many encounters where just a simple hand hover like this is all that I need to ensure the shark continues moving the direction it is swimming. But having my hand ready like this is a great tool in case the shark does change its direction very quickly. That way I am already there and can react even faster to that behavior🦈 . . . . . . . #shark #sharks #sharkdiving #sharkdiver #tigershark
