@channel.heat.systems: Ever wondered what actually happens beneath the floor? 👀 We’ve put together a simple step-by-step video showing how we install PERT pipes into milled concrete floors and connect them to the manifold – no jargon, just the real process! A lot of homeowners hesitate retrofitting underfloor heating because they imagine: ❌ Floors being ripped out ❌ Weeks of disruption ❌ Complicated plumbing changes ❌ … or systems that won’t work properly in an existing house This video shows the reality. ✅ The channels are precision-milled into the existing slab. ✅ The PERT pipe is laid securely into those channels. ✅ The system is pressure-tested. ✅ Then it’s connected cleanly to the manifold, ready for commissioning. Our system means no raised floors, no thick overlays and no unnecessary upheaval. At Channel Heat Systems we believe that understanding the process removes a lot of the uncertainty, and that’s exactly why we wanted to share it! If you’re curious whether this could work in your home, take a first step and book a free, no-obligation underfloor heating assessment: 📞 0203 9166 264 📱 +44 7951 041911 📧 [email protected] #UnderfloorHeating #RetrofitUFH #FloorMilling #PERTPipe #HeatingUpgrade HomeRenovation ConcreteFloorHeating ChannelHeatSystem
You’ve damaged the concrete cover distance to rebar. Nice one

Let the custards know. Any property with a concrete slab and NO PIR (insulation) is a waste of time and energy normally early 80s, mid 90s properties.

That’s excellent! Do you just lay floors down directly or is there more to it. Screed or filling the channels or a pour etc. Awesome job. Looking for something for my folks place.

Isn’t underfloor heating supposed to heat the concrete slab up? Surely the heat just disappears n costs twice as much to run

where is the insulation? We just used grooved boards as you do not want to lose 40% of your heat into the concrete
