He’s right about the unity. My own people family members & friends are very competitive & will do anything to get ahead. I know because I’ve been kind & pro community but eveyone wants to get ahead and will take the chance to compete with you. I wish people would be honest about it. But we also don’t care about where you are from, we treat everyone the same regardless. We don’t single out Africans Caribbean’s call them names we don’t care because it’s not about where you are from it’s who you are as a person

Saying that Black Americans have no unity is absolutely asinine, and I feel like they’re trying to rewrite history because one thing that most Caribbeans and other Black people from around the world compliment Black Americans on all the time is our unity, so I call BS.

It is the American way to think about yourself 😅 BUT black Americans have our own experiences in America that we BOND over …we do look out for our own . How many times have I entered a room and scanned for “familiar” faces ..? 😅😂 EVERY time . I look out for black/brown kids in public spaces . I help black mothers when I can . I defend black women and men if needed . I compliment us when out in public . We are community.
