When measuring inseam, you’re supposed to have someone else help so you’re not bending over to measure. You’re also supposed to stop at your ankle bone.

I had to laugh when you said only 5’7”😅 I’m 5’2” and I have the opposite problem with long torso and short legs!😭 I need an inseam of like 25”!

Girl, same. 5’7” with a 33” inseam. People saying stop at your ankle can live in their cropped pants, I like mine to actually go all the way down. For jeans I love imogen + willie.

Your body inseam is from the base of your crotch to your ankle bone. But when ordering pants you totally have to take into consideration of where you want it to hit! I have a 29-30 inch inseam but often get pants in a 33 inch inseam so it hits the floor!

I’m also 6’ tall (like the commenter) and I generally also wear a 34” inseam. My bestie is 5’6” and is a 33” inseam. I have a crazy long torso, my bestie has the torso of a 5’1” woman. Bodies are seldom super proportional!

I'm 5'7 and a 34'' inseam too, idk why it's so hard to grasp that everyone's body isn't shaped the same 🤷♀️some people have small torsoes, long legs, some others long torsoes small legs, so 2 people could be the same height and weight and still need different pants' sizes

From a standard measurements standpoint, full inseam is to the floor, but when you’re describing the inseam of pants it goes to the bottom of pants (which won’t be the floor). You’re not supposed to bend while measuring though.

I just measure the pants I love instead of my body. My pants that hit my ankle are 30. My pants for heels and boots are typically 32.

No, the inseam is the measurement down the inside of the leg from where the crotch portion joins to the bottom hem. So basically from your crotch to where you want the pants to stop. It’s a clothing-based measurement, not a body-based measurement like leg length

I'm 5'6 and 32inch inseam so it's not crazy. The only thing you did wrong was not stand straight up while measuring which would have lessened the measurement a tiny bit.

How I measure inseam is finding the pair of pants that fit me the way I like it. Then I measure that inseam and use that number for all other pants.

I’m 6’0” with a 37” inseam and I need 37.5” to 38” inseams for pants to touch the ground without dragging. I too have no torso and I’m all legs.
