For anyone who thinks yugioh is difficult to understand, 90% of players just pick a deck that’s around Top - Rouge tier, look up combo guides, and play ranked till a new meta deck comes out to repeat this process. Most people would be better at the game if they play smart, but the game is so linear and streamlined with combos that it takes little brain activity to actually win. ESPECIALLY if you go first.

Nah the celebrities started opening packs once the trend started. They did not start the trend or popularity they simply joined in on it. They had zero influence for the game’s popularity.

Idk man. This just feels like your “favs” participating in over consumption. Cards are super expensive now, hard to find in common markets, and generally floating higher and higher out of accessibility. Of course the elite are starting to publicly enjoy it.

yugioh is fun as fuck but man getting into the game now is a struggle. learning all the combos for newer meta decks, when to hand trap, and what to do when your combo gets negated is a freaking struggle.
