@notenoughspacetalks: Brian Cox explains why the Andromeda Galaxy is our nearest large galactic neighbor 🔭 Sitting about 2.5 million light-years away, Andromeda is the closest spiral galaxy comparable in size to our Milky Way. It contains roughly a trillion stars and spans over 200,000 light-years across — making it even larger than our own galaxy. Even our “nearest” galaxy reminds us just how vast the universe truly is. #BrianCox #Andromeda #Galaxies #Astrophysics #Space
what's crazy is there is probably another life form in the Andromeda galaxy thinking the same thing.

It’s very frustrating to possess all this knowledge and then understand there’s nothing you can do about it. It’s unexplorable except from here. It can never be visited.

Andromeda Galaxy could not even exit anymore, we just see it now how it was 2 millions years ago.

This is why I don't get excited when people tell me they found another earth-like planet.... I'm like, yeah that's cool and all.... but you'll never see it.

They keep talking about closest galaxy but never closest solar system. Who’s our neighbor ? Why not start locally ?

What if the further we get away from our galaxy along with other galaxies, in between the speed of light gets faster? So many things we will never know.

It can be visited by logging off the Milky Way server and logging on the Andromeda server.

Along time ago when I was in primary schools I was fascinated with space. My natural science teacher told me don't get to much into it because it will drive you crazy. Haha I never went on to be quite an astronaut or something like that. Just became a teacher but still fascinated with all of it.

Where does the light go after it has entered your eyes? Is it the end of the light’s journey?

To think that we will never see nor know what it really looks like in the present time because what we will always see is something that already happened in the past.
