@builderbrigade: 5๏ธโฃ Concrete takes 28 days to fully cure.
It may look solid in a few days, but real strength takes time. You wonโt need to wait 28 days for framing to start on a slab but keep an eye on the driveway ๐ง
4๏ธโฃ Brick isnโt waterproof.
The real protection is behind it. There is an air gap that meets the house wrap. Any water will find its way through the weep holes at the bottom of the wall.
3๏ธโฃ Nail pops will show up.
Wood shrinks and moves as it dries. Small drywall pops in year one are common. Itโs not always poor workmanship.
2๏ธโฃ Bigger HVAC isnโt better.
Oversized systems short cycle and donโt dehumidify properly. The right-sized system beats oversized every time.
1๏ธโฃ Your framing will likely have mold.
Most framing mold during construction is surface-level and cosmetic. Long-term moisture is the real problem not a few rainstorms.

Nail pops won't happen if you contract with your drywall contractor to use drywall screws exclusively. It will cost extra, but there will be no nail pops.

Concrete never stops curing. It reaches a certain point and then it starts breaking down and returning to sand gravel and cement.

Make sure the slab edge insulation is properly installed or you will have a very cold house.

It doesnโt have to take that long if accelerators are used in it, just keep in mind this is how commercial use of Liquid NCA, that way you reach higher PSI strengths FAR faster!
@Just call me T the #1 slide saying โyour lumber will have moldโ and then following it with โand itโs usually cosmeticโ made me think of your situation.
