Literally there was poverty everywhere in the world during that time, more or less. Stop being biased. Before Reza Shah, there was the Qajar dynasty where Iran was basically a failed state with unimaginable poverty sue to mismanagement. Reza Shah and his son Mohammad Reza Shah were able to transition Iran to a wealthier, progressive country. Yes poverty still existed in some areas but the average person could afford a lot. And the economy was improving drastically . Taking a country from a failed state to a powerful one is not an easy thing to do. No leader is ever perfect but for the non-Iranians to spread misinformation about the reality of that time and paint the Shah as an evil being who contributed nothing to the country is just unacceptable. He sacrificed alot and was a great leader and did what needed to be done to transition the country, accept it or not. And the majority of Iranians appreciate him and are devastated about the Islamic revolution of 1979 and him being overthrown. Instead of being biased and getting your knowledge from tiktok, speak to actual Iranians who know the reality and stop being ignorant towards who they are calling for. If we’re talking about democracy, the voice of the majority of Iranians should be heard and we know very well who they want.
