@crunchystrawberries5: This movie will always have a special place in my heart, the filming style, the essence of the story, the meaning will forever be unmatched. I love how the movie itself has an eerie but beautiful atmosphere focusing on little details like the eaters’ ability to sniff out representing a language only spoken between a community. I also think that cannibalism in this movie can represent Maren and Lee’s hunger for identity and connection stemmed from their abusive childhoods which is why they try to find a way to fill their isolated hearts in every body they “consume”, I think cannibalism is both the remedy and cause of their loneliness, somehow that’s the most beautiful part of this film. Maren’s final act of consuming Lee essentially signifies Lee becoming part of Maren forever and finalizes their wish to finally be fully loved and accepted. #bonesandall #Love #moviereview
