@cheapholidayexpert: Have you seen this plane layout before?!! 🤯 I BLOODY LOVED IT!!! 🛫 WHAT’S THE PLANE? 🛫 We were supposed to fly on a 737 MAX-8 with Icelandair but at the last moment they swapped it out for this bad boy: ✈️ 767-300 (winglets) It’s nearly 30 years old!!! The big difference is the size as this is a medium-to-large wide-body twinjet aircraft. Not only did this feel HUAWGE for a flight to Europe (we were off to Iceland!) but I absolutely loved how many overhead bins there were - no fights for luggage space here 😆 And talk about luck being sat in Premium with its bizarre 2-1-2 layout!! James was seated in the middle and came to join me, but there’s something nice about having two arm rests to yourself… 🛫 HOW MUCH EXTRA DID PREMIUM COST? 🛫 We actually booked this flight from London to Toronto and it had a change in Iceland, which we extended for 3 days thanks to Icelandair’s free Stopover programme (the flights stay the same cost, but you do have to still pay for you trip to Iceland sadly 😭) But I spotted that Premium was just £120 more than Economy and yep, that’s for the TWO FLIGHTS - so we also flew Premium to Toronto three days later as well, and that’s a 6 hour flight 🎉 It included fast track, 2 checked bags, the lounge at KEF (but not in London), food and drink on board and a much bigger seat - though no lie flat. 📣 SO… I have two questions for you. 1) Would you ever opt to sit in that lonely middle seat? And 2) Do you think £120 to upgrade to Premium was a good deal or not?! More Iceland videos coming next - we’re doing a budget, mid-range and luxury day!!!
