Homemade Crème Brûlée🫶🏼✨ Ingredients: • 2 cups heavy cream • 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla bean paste • 5 egg yolks • 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp granulated sugar • Pinch of salt • Granulated sugar for brûlée topping Recipe: - Preheat oven to 325°F.
 - In a saucepan, add heavy cream, vanilla bean paste, and salt. Heat over low heat until the cream is hot and steaming but not boiling. Remove from heat. And let cool down for 5 mins before adding to eggs.
 - In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and sugar until smooth. - Slowly pour the warm cream into the yolks while whisking constantly to temper the eggs. Don’t stop whisking. This helps prevent the eggs from scrambling.
 - Strain the custard through a strainer to remove bubbles and ensure a silky smooth texture.
 - Place the ramekins in a deep baking dish and divide the custard evenly between them. * This recipe made 4 servings using my larger, deeper ramekins. If you’re using smaller or more shallow ramekins, you may get approximately 6–7 servings, depending on their size.
 - Next, pour hot water into the baking dish until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekins. Do not get hot water into the custard!
 - Bake for 30–40 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle. If your using shallow ramekins stick to this time. * If you’re using larger, deeper ramekins like mine, they may need additional baking time. Mine took around 50-55 minutes. Check every 5 minutes until they reach the right consistency.
 - Remove from the water bath and immediately transfer the ramekins to the fridge, and cool overnight (or at least for 4 hours).
 - Before serving, sprinkle a thin, even layer of sugar over each custard.
 - Using a kitchen torch, slowly and evenly caramelize the sugar on top, moving the flame back and forth until it melts and turns a beautiful golden brown. - Let it sit for about 1–2 minutes to allow the sugar to cool and harden into a crispy, caramelized layer. * If you don’t have a torch, the sugar topping can be caramelized under a broiler, but watch closely, as it can burn quickly. Enjoy!🫶🏼🍮 #cremebrulee #dessert #recipesoftiktok #baking #bakingrecipe
