Saw one in Hawaii, didn’t know what it was at the time. Spent (in retrospect) an ALARMING amount of time right by it, trying to get it to move so I could get a better look. It didn’t move and I left. I got hella lucky.

I remember learning about stone fish and being terrified of stepping on rocks in water…in Alaska 🤣 took a couple years to learn we don’t have rockfish and to be fair I was like six or seven and I read it in a book (taught myself to read)

I did I was walking in the water and something stung the space between my ankle and heel. The paramedics said it was a sting ray, and said to dip my foot is hot water and the pain went away immediately so idk what it was 😳

I stepped on a Sting Ray..felt like glass, went to the emergency room 1 hour later. So much pain thought I was going to die😂
