It's a filler and inefficent use of finish language. Sometimes people say it for nothing. It's more abstract than "noin". "Sillä tavalla" is proper language and you can shorten that by saying "silleen". Don't say "silleen liukasta" it sounds silly 😄

”tee se silleen” sounds like more instructions are coming. ”Tee se noin” implies the thing is already happening, or you are pointing to an example/instruction and it has to be done like it. ”tolleen” would be more similiar to ”noin”. Equivalent for ”silleen” would probably be ”niin”. This is a fairly nuanced thing so I understand the confusion

Mun mielestä kaikki esimerkit, mitä käytät videolla on ihan oikeita tapoja käyttää silleen-sanaa! Mä käytän itse sitä eniten sellasissa lauseissa, joissa sen tarkoitus on "or something like that", esimerkiksi "Se oli vähän kiusallista tai silleen". Eli kun en ehkä keksi sopivampaa kuvaavaa sanaa, ei ehkä ollut oikeasti kiusallista, mutta jotain sen tapaista. 😄

It’s just ”like so” or ”like”. And you can use it instead of ”noin” as you thought, you’re on the right track so just use it. And when somebody messes something up you can say ”no silleen” or ”no silleen sitte”

"Is there any difference between saying, like tee se silleen tai tee se noin"? i feel like tee se noin is referencing to something that was already done at the spot, "do it like that!" tee se silleen is more like do it like he did it that one time, "do it like that" when both know what that is in context

"Siten" is the same in yleiskieli. "Silleen" is puhekieltä. I never use the word "silleen", never when I was young and never as an adult. And it really comes from the words "sillä tavalla". "Noin", "näin" ja "sillä tavalla" are better words than "silleen". "Sillä tavalla liukasta" on hyvä. Maybe some young people could say "silleen liukasta" but that's not so common way and it's very unofficial.
