@transformwithtoska: It’s the mental load you carry alone, the invisible labour no one sees, the constant decision making, the broken sleep, the lack of real support, the absence of rest, the pressure to be grateful while running on empty. Children need you, yes, but they are not designed to exhaust you. What exhausts you is doing motherhood without nourishment, without help, without space to breathe. When a woman is supported, rested and emotionally held, she does not experience her children as draining. She experiences them as demanding, sometimes overwhelming, but still deeply joyful. The problem isn’t the children. It’s how unsupported mothers are expected to survive it.
