Yep. Mine has cervical IVDD and her neck muscles will spasm. We do acupuncture when she’s having a flair up and it helps

IVDD shouldn’t ever mean end of life. There are so many success stories with surgery, rest, etc. It should also be a reminder not to adopt if you can’t afford a surgery because they are expensive. These little guys are like babies treat them right. Praying for your buddy!

I took mine to the vet saying I am seeing early signs of this… they said they can’t call it IVDD because he passed their neuro test.. but I swear all the signs I see on here I’ve been seeing in mine except the knuckling and yelling out in pain… what do I do? I’m eliminating all stair usage and furniture. I’ve ordered a red light. What else? My heart hurts

My baby is in a flare up right now. We’re on day 5 of crate rest and meds. She’s improved but we aren’t taking any chances and keeping her confined for a lot longer to be safe.

Sometimes keeping them at a skinnier weight also helps like I forgot where I saw it but they have to look a certain way from the top to be considered good weight

I didn’t show any symptoms 😭 I was perfectly fine and during midnight at 2AM on Sunday my hoomans rushed me to the vet and need surgery 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭🐾🐾🐾

My sweet frenchie had a flare up a week ago, and had spasms in her neck area, especially after she ate and drank. Would last about 10-15 min… Doing better this week after being on gabapentin and carprofen, and hoping she doesn’t get worse. My vet recommended I see a neurologist if she doesn’t improve in a week. Even if she does get better, wondering if I should see one anyways. Hope Milo is feeling better!
