The run on sentence gave me the sense of a whirlwind of thoughts, a racing mind and catastrophization. It created a tenseness that kept the story compelling. In the end I liked it. I didn’t love it and can only think of a few folks I might recommend it to.

“great question” 😂 yeah… 2 for 2 on books that leave a mark. I didn’t “enjoy” it, but I am glad I read it. Life is hard sometimes.

Wrong… the Longest short book ever was “Dibs in Search of Self”. I was forced to read this in High School and I hated it so much I put it off to the last day and read the last 90% it. I felt autistic after… and not the high functioning kind.

Melchor is not for me. I DNF’ed Hurricane season by her because of all the run on sentences. It was as if the narrator was that coworker that nonstop talks shid about everybody incessantly. I hated it lol.

The writing was painful to read for the first 50 pages, used churched up words that kept me thinking why did you pick it from your thesaurus list, then it was like another writer finished the book , it became smoother reading. Quick read , one i definitely wouldn’t have read, or recommend.

What’s your thoughts on audible? I’m in the car often, I’ve listened to a couple hundred and have grown fond of the medium
