During my recent travels, I encountered a newborn infant, approximately one week old and weighing under 2 kilograms. This child was delivered at home due to the parents' inability to cover hospital expenses and is the sixth child in the family. Upon observation, I noted the infant presented with severe jaundice, evidenced by the significant discoloration of the eyes, where the pupil and surrounding sclera appeared nearly identical in hue. Immediate medical intervention is critical for this infant. While I have provided some assistance, substantial further support is required. The parents of this child are refugees.
