We used the manual release so many times because the electronic button wasn’t working some how. We ignore it then our latch broke because we use the manual release so many times

Earlier models of the Tesla Y are even worse. In the backseat, you first have to remove a rubber tray liner, then there is a cap over the compartment where the wire lever is. I was unable with my fingers to open the plastic cap and had to use a screwdriver. Then once the plastic cap is removed, which I am now permanently leaving off, you have to put your fingers down into a hole and find the release handle.
