That is what we call a living room and the TV is usually in the Den.

The first room he took you into is called a sitting room or an entertaining room. Not because you’re doing something entertaining in it but because it’s where you sit with company and talk in comfort. A living room is usually bigger than the sitting room and is where you find the TV, if you have a fireplace you usually have a separate room for it called a DEN and this can be and usually is used as the living room in most homes. Some people are lucky enough to have all 3. The home I grew up in had a living room, a sitting room, a den, 2 dinning rooms and instead of an attached garage we had a 2 detached garages and a giant pole barn.

2car garage is normal. Yes we have doors that was just a wide entry way. TV? Yeah not normal there should be a huge tv in that room.

Doors are on the bedrooms, the bathrooms anything that goes in and out at your house and some have it in the laundry room
