@theartcoach: Tap the link in my bio to start the drawing drills course. Clouds aren’t complicated. Start with a simple horizontal line for the base. Then stack C-shaped curves for the puffs of the cumulus cloud. Then add diagonal hatching that begins on the curve and follows the form. That’s it. When you simplify the method, the drawing improves immediately. Most people overcomplicate clouds because they try to copy every bump. But if you understand the structure first, the texture becomes easy. Simplification creates clarity. Clarity creates confidence. That’s exactly what the Drawing Drills trains: • Simplified shape construction • Directional hatching • Even spacing • Form before texture • Drawing from imagination with structure Better drawings don’t come from more detail.
