POV: The crime scene was chaos. Paramedics, Deputies, Detectives shouting over one another. Beau stood in the middle of it all, scanning faces. “Where’s Y/N?” Silence. One deputy frowned. “I thought she was with you, Sheriff.” Every muscle in Beau’s body locked. “No.” His voice was calm. Too calm. “Who was the last person to see her?” No one answered immediately. A rookie finally swallowed hard. “She… she went around back. Said she heard something.” Beau’s blood ran cold. “How long ago?” “…Ten… maybe 15 minutes.” His radio was in his hand before anyone could blink. “All units, this is Sheriff Arlen. Deputy Y/N is unaccounted for. Lock this scene down. NOW” — ” Nobody leaves. Search every building, every vehicle, every inch of these woods.” His heartbeat thundered in his ears. Ten to 15 minutes. That was enough for someone to disappear. Enough for someone to die. He was already moving before anyone else reacted. “Beau!” one detective called. “Wait for backup!” “No.” He disappeared into the tree line, flashlight cutting through the darkness. “Y/N!” Nothing. Only the wind. Branches snapped beneath his boots as he searched faster, harder. “Answer me!” Then— A muffled cry. His head snapped toward an abandoned hunting cabin. The front door hung open. Every instinct screamed. Beau drew his weapon and stepped inside. The room was dark. Silent. Then he heard it again. “…Beau…” His name. Weak. Desperate. He found you on the floor, wrists bound, bruised but alive. The second he saw you, every ounce of fear he’d been holding back shattered. He dropped to his knees. “Hey. Hey, I’ve got you.” His hands shook as he cut the restraints. “I knew you’d come.” “You don’t get to say things like that.” His voice cracked. “You don’t disappear. You don’t scare me like this.” You reached for his hand. “I’m okay.” “No.” He cupped your face, his forehead resting against yours. “You’re alive.” A shaky breath escaped him. “And that’s the only thing keeping me standing right now.” Outside, the deputies heard over the radio— “Suspect not on scene.” A pause. Then, in a voice colder than anyone had ever heard from Sheriff Beau Arlen: “…Find him.” Because hurting one of his deputies was a crime. Hurting you? That had just become personal. #jensenackles #jensenacklesedits #spn #beauarlen #pov
