@theoregonian: Oregon gas stations saw the biggest price hike of any state this week. The average cost per gallon soared to $3.91 — a whopping 22 cents higher than last week’s figure and the highest prices have been this year, according to a Tuesday AAA news release. The national average climbed only 3 cents to $2.95 per gallon. In Portland, the average jumped 23 cents to $4 per gallon, according to the release. Follow the link in our bio to read more.

You are paying for the downtime and leaks of the pipeline from Seattle from a couple months ago. The season change is also a factor but most our gas comes from up north so we are not switching yet

Oregon doesn’t have its own refineries and relies on the pipeline which has a number of risks long term. When they can’t rely on the pipeline they have to buy in the open market and pay for it through the nose.
