What do you do when your waste oil container is full?

Marine Engineer comment. This Oil volume is insane. Theoretically you could add an offline microfine filter and continuously filter the oil. On ships there’s an oil centrifuge offline filtering, and an inline oil filter .. never drain just topping up. This engine is “a forever” device.

Makes you wonder if this is just miscommunication between the design and manufacturing teams. Someone meant to write 1.5gal oil capacity and lost the decimal in translation.

Could’ve measured the oil tank and done a little math and figured up how much oil it would hold.

You can always get a guestament by measuring L x W x H get the cubic footage then multiply by 7.48 cause there is 7.48 gallons in one cubic foot

I feel exactly the same way about pre filling filters. Only when they are insanely large compared to the engine

there is absolutely no way of 1.2 l industrial use engine with nearly 20 gallons of oil is only rated at a 3,000 hour oil change when the same engine on a service refrigerant with 3.5 gallons is rated the same service interval
