Save this for a runway-ready body ✨ After 20 years of teaching Pilates and working with runway models, this is still one of my favourite full-body exercises for building strength, improving posture and creating that long, lean look. Holding the reverse bridge keeps constant tension through the standing glute while the sweeping leg challenges the glutes and hamstrings even further. At the same time, your deep core (TA) works to stabilise the pelvis as your shoulders, upper back and arms strengthen with every repetition. ✨ Reverse Bridge Leg Sweep x8 each side 🤍 Complete 3 rounds 🤍 Rest for 4 slow breaths between each round I’m using 1kg (2.2lb) ankle weights, but this movement is just as effective with your own bodyweight if that’s all you have. Focus on lifting through the hips, keeping your ribs softly connected and reaching long through the moving leg. Slow, controlled reps are what make this exercise so effective. If this feels a little advanced, start by holding a reverse plank on the floor and alternate lifting each leg without the roller. Once you feel stronger and more stable, progress to using the roller. Save this workout and come back to it whenever you want stronger glutes, a flatter stomach and beautiful posture. 🤍 Follow for Pilates that actually works. ✨ #pilates #matpilates #gluteworkout #corestrength #posture
