I’m the same it wouldn’t bother me but I have used the white plastic pipe covers before they literally wrap around the pipe so easy to fit 💖

They will go green rapidly, get a spray can of coverstain and give it a coat then go over with the wall colour

If you’re doing curtains anyway, you could consider ceiling hung tracks that would cover them half the time and defo cover down the side

If you don’t like the look of the pipes, consider a plant shelf or something across the wall, the look of plants, etc will distract the eye and you won’t notice the pipes…
