@teamtucker23: Tuckers been in the hospital for 3 days so far. He has markers for kidney rejection and had a biopsy yesterday. Today has been calm and chill so far- awaiting the preliminary results and hoping we can go home today. A little backstory to those tuning into his story for the first time: Tucker was born with end stage renal failure and was on dialysis since birth. Just 1 week shy of his 2nd birthday he received the ultimate gift- a kidney transplant. Since then he has been battling 2 viruses. Because of them,1 anti rejection medication has been stopped completely and the other has been decreased to give his body the chance the fight them off. Because of this, his body is making antibodies against the kidney which can reject it. We are awaiting results to see if Tucker is in active rejection. Also because of these viruses he is at increased risk of PTLD (post transplant lymphode disease) he is scheduled to have a cancer test done on Wednesday.
