Ive started buying gold, it satisfies my craving of a purchase, it keeps it value and historically has proven to rise steadily. Also I have never liked the idea of regular investment, the intangibleness of it stresses me out. I also do save up but very slowly. And I’m maxing my pension which is managed like regular investments so I feel like I’ve found my perfect middle ground. Also I have bought a house with my partner for very cheap and renovated it so we owe almost nothing and pay almost nothing monthly which gives a stable foundation.

Sure wish I saw this post 40, even 50 years ago! I learned young you should save 10% of EVERYthing you earn but my time blindness is, and always has been, outta sight. (Funny, not funny). I'll get to it. Next babysitting gig. Next cheque...

I bought 2 houses cause I know I will use all of money if I can see it in my bank account. If the money always has been transfered to pay the loan automatically, I can't buy too manyunneccessary things.
